(named after him)
he died in walker lodge care home, peacefully on saturday 7th october 2006. my granda battled with
parkinsons for a number of years and fought bravely until the very end.
my granda was born on september 19th 1919. before meeting my nanna he was in the war. he met my
nanna in 1943 and introduced himself as john willy teacake. he was a handsome soldier aged 24,
standing on the corner and my nanna, who was 23, made him chase her. they married on 28th december
1946 and they never spent a day apart after that. they then went on to have two sons, robert and
alan. my granda used to love pets. he was always coming home with a new pet, whether it be a rabbit
or a dog. my granda was a devoted family man who would have done anything for anybody, especially
his family. he used to have an allotment down Byker Terrace and would spend hours down there,
growing anything and everything. he used to enjoy going to the club with his friends too for a pint
on a sunday afternoon. he died peacefully, with his family around him. we miss him and love him very
much.

you're heart was true and tender
you simply lived for those you loved
and those you loved remember
forever in our hearts
Its been 3 years Jack since you left us to go to a much better place. We are all thinking of and missing you especially today. R.I.P. xxx

sorry i didnt come on for easter granda but i was thinkin ov you and i hope you had a nice day the kids certainly did they got loads of eggs but i havent let them eat them all! they got far 2 many! I love you loas granda all my love julie xxxx
